"Captain, why do you travel?" asked the first mate.
"I want to see your dreams fulfilled, then mine. That is why I travel." said the captain.
"But we've long realized all our dreams, captain," replied the first mate. "Even the ship, if I may say so, have traveled far and wide, I dare say, it is the one ship to have sailed all the seas and seen many a dry land. We've conquered many fights, even join and ended as champions of wars no man will ever mock or dare. We are the pinnacle when it comes to exploration. We pioneer worlds none have ever seen before."
"Your point, my friend?" asked the captain. "Should all of that mark the end of our journey?"
"No, captain. I just want to ask. Why do you travel?"
"As I've answered. I want to-."
"Tell us your dream, captain." asked the first mate and soon an ensemble of the crew showed up through the captain's door. "I apologize on behalf that we have to barge in. But that's is because we all want to hear it. Captain, please tell us your dream."
The captain smiled and discreetly wiped away a freshly fallen tear by taking off his hat. He took a big gulp of the rum on his table and gave the crew a stern but gentle look.
"I'm apologize too for being selfish that for the long time we are on the sea, it's only fitting that you've already heard of my dream. But it seems none of you yet knows of what I'm looking for."
"What you're looking for?" said the first mate.
"So it's a treasure?" one of the crew asked.
"No! It's probably an island, somewhere far, far away."
"Maybe it's a castle on the sky, like on those fairy tales."
"Don't be stupid, chum, you've been reading lotsa child books lately that your thinking got cronked."
The captain stood and slammed the table.
"My friends, none idea is cronked or stupid. Every dreams are like that. And if you're just going to label it as such, forgive me for I am not a good captain as a good guide to each and everyone of you," said the captain. "You see, my dream is. What I've been looking for is... is a way to forget."
"To forget?" asked the first mate. "Forget what, captain?"
"Being out in the ocean, losing your sense of direction as well losing your sense of time is easy," said the captain.
"But we're men of the now, so simple changes, from the furthest details to the smallest, we won't."
"Beside, why do you want to forget?"
"And what is it that you want to forget? Don't tell me you want to forget us, captain?"
The captain smiled, refilled his cup and drank it all up.
"Tell me, chum. Who's the captain who'll ever forget such amazing crew?" said the captain and called for the crew to party the night away. They have supplies after all.
