October again (2019)

That time of the year again... in some country, it's already fall, while some it's already winter.. here where I live.. always the same. Soon it'll be the holiday season nothing else to much to expect. Then after that, year end.

Has it become a routine?

Yet here I am, doing something else that I haven't done for the past few years. Incognito from the rest of the world while going on to different worlds, watching animes to be specific.. Awfully, I'm just lazing around doing nothing, while the world move on. Somehow it seems like the anime Erased, or rather it's intended title "The City where only I am missing."

Wish I have power like that.. to go back far away in time, to rewrite everything. But then again, I might lose things I never wanted lost. Though memories may prevail, things once precious to me may disappear once the past is altered. Then again, if the world is truly connected as in the film anime, You name, then I guess, one way or another I'd soon get it back.

It's unfortunate I was only able to do 74 posts and majority of which are from animes and films, and just a few are original story and poems, which I assume are a bit half baked.. But whatever, it's odd but it seems I like writing poems in many lines for two words each. As for the silly stories, I've little knowledge about the sea and still, I'm writing poorly made stories about pirating and sailings.

Now come to think of it, I always admired the sky back then, yet here I am writing about the sea. Something which I am less accustomed to. But what am I really accustomed to, anyway? I just write things about things I've heard, read or watched about. I've rather no first hand knowledge of a lot of things.

Grammars aren't my specialty, yet here I am writing stories about a silly old captain. Character analysis and creation, I'm doubtful, I hate making flaws, yet here I am exploring the sea life of a silly old firefly.

None of these have been routine since after schooling. Yet here I am, trying to once more go back. If there's still somewhere to go back to.

I want to write more review and character analysis but.. I'm afraid, is that how this blog should be? I wanted to post many things but right now these is what interests me most. Even though there are a few post that I seem to feel forced. I hate doing those.

I apologize if there are things that I've watched and yet I've not posted about it, it's either bland to me or I just have no clue of what to say. If it's the latter it may come in a day or few or never at all. I'm just somebody who's really lazy.

Also, whenever I look back at this little blog of mine.. I wonder, why I chose that title, Gaia's Reports, or did I posted it somewhere else?

Kimi no Suizou wo Tabetai (anime film) by Shin'ichiro Ushijima

I suggest reading The Little Prince by Saint Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

I never thought a dying character in a movie will be this most vibrant and uplifting. Even if the film revolved around the bucket list and the soon death of Sakura, it successfully made the audience felt at ease. And somehow focused more on the relationship between Sakura and Haruki as well as the growth of Haruki.

Somehow, the constant reminders of Sakura's death etched in my mind that it's a given. She herself have already accepted it, with a smile. It made the audience ready for it to come. While also feeling unease of how Haruki will take it. He did fell in love with her, knowing her time is short.

Odd enough, I don't know what to say. Even the Firefly King enjoyed the film with tears flowing from his eyes and yet a smile reflected otherwise.

Sakura is an extrovert, yet she is dying. Haruki, an extrovert, finds no interests around him, yet he is going to live. It's funny how the two would say goodbye to each other in their silly plans saying: "let's get along until I die," by Sakura. It's a dark humor that successfully makes it bright.

On the end of the film, before the credits. The scene totally reminded me, the whole film is an animation grown up version of The Little Prince. There were two foxes, a rose, the little prince and the pilot.

If the Firefly King were to be asked whether to save any of the character in the story... would he done so? The snake took the prince. And yet, it seems she is happy with that. Should she have been saved? What if she lived, would she even be happier? What if she was cured, would it cure Haruki?

It seems, her death was for the sake of Haruki. She said so herself, in a monologue, her whole short 17 years for her to meet him. It's melancholic to think about it. But it seems Haruki thought so himself as well: His entire life was meant to meet Sakura.

After the film, or rather after Sakura's death, it seems all that she wanted to do happened.

While watching the movie, I felt how heavy it would be for Haruki. He' a stranger to Sakura, yet she's dragging him along. If he does fell in love with her, he will be the one to feel the heaviest of lost. But it seems Sakura knew of this, so she never made it realized. Or rather, she might have held back, she knows.

It was written in her Living with Dying book, was it all made revealed. Even the phone messages she had before she died. It was all there.

Sorry, it seems this post just won't do justice to how beautiful the movie is... but this is just a short thing I want to share. I want you, to whoever you are reading this, please watch the film.

Noucome (anime) by Hiroko Kanasugi, Takayuki Inagaki

https://kissanime.ru/Anime/NouCome/Episode-010?id=59924&s=default

Amazingly, this 10 episode series is amazing. It depicts the importance of choices and how one should choose. Even though the anime chose a very unorthodox way of showing it. Though, comedy is often a good thing to associate with learning, maybe? Plus 'boobies.' The choices are definitely absurd and without sense, but odd enough Kanade has the best principle. His choice no matter what, will not hurt anyone else. Even though all the time, it is himself that get's the blunt of his decision. But it seems he managed, somehow.

To make a short gist:

Kanade, the main character of the series, have a somewhat curse laid onto him. He calls it, "Absolute Choice," it randomly appears on a daily basis. Two choices will be heard and he has to choose one, if he doesn't an unbearable headache will cause him pain. The choices are really absurd.

The first time it appeared was when Kanade was walking in the park when he saw a porn magazine. Because he wants to keep face while still being a high school kid, he opted to just look from afar. Suddenly, "Absolute Choice" happens, he has to choice between: 1 putting his face close to the porn magazine and smelling it or 2 eat the magazine.

This certain random encounter happens once or more in a daily basis so it doesn't end there. One day, when he was coming home from school, a girl fell from the sky. Apparently, this girl will help Kanade to lift the curse, "Absolute Choice," from him. Unfortunately, she has a some sort of amnesia. She only knew her duty, to help Kanade, but not the details, how to life the curse, nor does she remembers her name.

Later on, Kanade got a call from "God," which he called flippant god," telling him a bit of detail to remove the curse. One, he must do all the silly task given on to him, "Absolute Choice" and two, he will be given important objects, without choices, to do before a dead line.

I was expecting a love story to bloom but then again, no love in harem is nice. Even though the girls around Kanade are falling for him, he is some sort both dense and mature/restraint to himself. Though often time, his pervert and ecchi manners comes from his Absolute Choice, to which he has no control, probably.

That's all I'd like to say for this anime. I'll be adding this to my feel good animes.. It's quite fun watching it.

(When did this turn to an anime blog? Can this even be called an appropriate anime blog?)

Ore Monogatari!! (anime) by Natsuko Takahashi, Morio Asaka

https://darkanime.stream/animes/ore-monogatari/ quite a bit of ads going on...

I won't be making a long post about this series other than saying it's a beautifully crafted romance comedy. It is fun watching it.

The analogy between Takeo and Suna's friendship and the Red and Blue Ogre of the early episodes were amazing. The story with the plays goes, the Red Ogre was a very kind being that wanted to be friends with human. Unfortunately, due to his being an ogre, human kind fears him. Blue Ogre, friend of Red, tells him that he'd make trouble in the human village and then Red would fight and beat him. Just so the Red Ogre would befriend the human village.

The planned goes as expected, Red Ogre fought and beat the ravaging Blue Ogre. After the Blue Ogre fled, the human village became friends with the Red Ogre. After some time, Red Ogre suddenly missed his buddy Blue Ogre, he went and visited him. Unfortunately, when Red got to Blue's place, he was no longer there. Except for a handwritten note. I think it said congratulations to Red and that he shouldn't be seen with Blue and so he left.

The friendship between Takeo and Suna's is comparable to the two Ogres. Takeo has a big, kind heart. Unfortunately, he literally looks like someone to be fear of. Often times his good deeds are overshadowed by his appearance and people mistook him as someone scary. As for Suna, he's there always for Takeo, the ever great best friend. Though it cannot be said, but it seems even Suna can sacrifice himself for his friend Takeo.

That's the friendship part, as for the love story. It's amazing.

Takeo, the one who is always misjudged and never felt a requited love, suddenly has an admirer, Yamato. The first time they met, Takeo thought that Yamato was an admirer of Suna, even though he fell in love with her the first time they met. It had in my mind saying, he who felt rejection all his life won't easily understand how to be reciprocated.

Fortunately, Suna, cleared it all up and the two, Takeo and Yamato, became a couple.

The series goes on with the many things couples do. Even if the physical appearance of lovers are ways apart. As long as they are in love. None of that matters. Although there are times when misunderstanding and jealousy came to play, true love cannot be broken.

One of the episode showed how Yamato's friends thought lowly of Takeo, of how he looks awful, or something like that, to be paired with a cute girl Yamato. Yamato stood up for Takeo. She is after all, in love with Takeo. Irregardless of how he looks, she loves him. To be fair though, Takeo looks a bit older but damn his body well sculpted.

Another episode is when Takeo repeated told Yamato that he isn't popular with girls to reassure her not to worry about him. Typical jealousy in couples. It was funny how Takeo misunderstood it first and when Yamato met and chatted with the third party. She amazingly accepted her. She misunderstood as well. But when that third party confessed to Takeo... It was an ironic scene. How does a man always rejected, reject somebody else?

He apologized and thanked the third party and went to Yamato. He apologized to her and told her that none matters, even if he's popular with girls. It was Yamato that he chose, no one else.

Later that evening though, Takeo had a chat with Suna. He still felt obliged to the third party. He is kind, even though he hurt her, he still wants her to be his friend. It was fortunate that the next morning, it seemed that the third party have perhaps moved on and greeted Takeo, good morning. That reassured and made him happy. He didn't lose a friend. Takeo is kind.

As for a comeback, on their spring break, Yamato took a part time job. Unaware, a cake maker have fell in love with her. The cake maker misunderstood Yamato's kindness. When the cake maker and Takeo met, he asked Takeo to break up with her. Stating that the Yamato is better suited with him. It was amazing how Takeo control himself, he understood things way deeper.

Yamato likes baking and cakes, what does Takeo know? Perhaps the cake maker was a better person for her. He held himself and instead contemplated out on the beach with his ever best friend Suna. Suna consoled him and told him that Yamato loves him dearly and whatever happens, it is Takeo that she will chose.

In the end, the cake maker confessed to Yamato. Yamato declined. She loves Takeo, her heart belongs to her.

It has a very happy ending. I do wonder if there will be a second season though.

-/_ -

Though a part of me, from the beginning of the series, thought that perhaps Yamato was a very strategic heart breaker. I guess, I wrong and I'm happy with that.

I also want to mention the love of Takeo to his parents, specifically his mother. It was amazing how heartfelt it was, to see someone you admire so much to suffer. He held his mother in high regards, saying she is the strongest and when she writhe in pain as when she's about to labor. One could feel the worry of Takeo.

How pathetic Takeo thought himself when he saw his mother in the hospital. Even though, the sudden comedy pulls me back from totally crying, I actually felt it. His fear and his heartache. It was amazing.

poetry #8

"Tell me
A story,"
The old
Wise tree
once said.

"I hunger
For words,
The deeper
The better,
Or perhaps

So simple
But sweet,
Will Satiate
My hunger."

The boy
None wise
Look up
And said:
"I am
Not wise
As you,
Nor knowledgeable
As they,

Would you
Be Kind
Tell me
Your name?"

Leaves fell,
Branches aged,
The tree
Though wise
Have forgot
His name.

"Give me,
A name,"
The old
Wise tree
Gently said,

"Would that
Be enough,
To satiate
Your hunger?"
Asked he.

"Pray tell
And hurry,
It's fine.
Hearing words
Is enough,
For me
To last
For more
Hundreds centuries
To come."

"Your name..."
The boy
Slowly whispers.
"is Promise."

One word,
To tell
a story.

The First Mate still have Dilemmas

"Say, captain," the first mate asks his captain. The wind was blowing gently and the waves not too high. Not so a dead still, but just a wonderful calm. The sea is sleeping, that night. The sky, like her mother, silently watches over everything.

The captain stops her walk. It is time for sleep, yet it seems her first mate wants to have an idle chat. Once, in a while, it calms her. So does any trouble mind. The captain look at her with a smile. She wonders what topic they will discuss. She knew her first mate isn't someone who'd bother talking about ship and business after everything has been already planned. Perhaps it's the stars again?

"Actually, I want to talk about something, captain," says the first mate. "I do hope you won't get offended."

"I'm all ear," the captain replies. "What is this grave something you want to discuss that I might get offended?"

"Would you mind if we talk about it in my quarters?" the first mate ask and lead her on to the captain's chamber. She must've misheard him. This isn't his quarter, certainly it's hers. She's the captain, right?

She wanted to ask him why they're going to her room but he ignores her. He just leads her on. She quietly follows She misheard him, as she thought.

The first mate stands by the door and opens it with his key. He has a spare to my room, she thought. The first mate smiles as he bids her welcome. Perhaps she must've mistaken it, the ship is big after all. They must've walked a detour she isn't too familiar with, that's why in actuality they are in the first mate's quarters.

"This is the captain's chamber, captain," says the first mate. The room, decorations from table to window to bed, they were exactly as her room. They are in her room, why does the first mate have a key to her room.

"What's the meaning of this?" the captain asks.

"Don't you remember, captain?"

"What do you mean?" The floor creaks as she steps back. She doesn't understand what was happening. Don't you remember, the captain repeats the question in her head. What do I remember?

The first mate walks to her and takes her hat.

"You really don't remember?" the first mate asks as he wears the captain's hat. He smiles as she guides her to take a sit.

"Hey! Give that back! Only the captain is supposed to wear that!" the captain orders as she tries to take it back. The first mate holds her hand.

"Is that what you told us before? Mere hat can't hold title, captain. Even if I, the first mate, were to wear this, who still is the captain of the ship?"

The captain struggles as the moon shines directly on the face of the first mate. It is the captain. She remembers.

"Captain?" the captain asks. The first mate smiles.

"You remembered?" the first mate asks.

"How... how... what's going on?" the captain asks. "I was escorting you back from the island, right?"

"Tell me, what breaks your heart?" the first mate asks. Still confused, she oblige herself to answer.

"Break my heart?" says the captain. "I've never fallen in love before."

"You sure about that?" the first mate asks as he blows a wind on her face. "I hate liars."

Her face glowed red. She is blushing. Yet somehow, she don't know what's going on. In love? In love with who? Certainly it isn't him, he's her captain and all. But who?

"Don't you remember?" the first mate asks.

"I don't know," the captain answers. "I can't remember clearly."

"Let me tell you what breaks my heart," says the first mate. "It's two things actually: Lie and betrayal."

The captain still deep in her thought scarcely hears his voice. Who was she in love with?

"But then again, I'm sure none of you have it in you to betray or lie to me," the first mate says. He looks her sharply and continued: "Most of you, though. But I'm glad. It heart here when I think about it," he pointed on his chest. "Certain feeling of both hurting and not. Somethings I can't stand. But I'm glad. Are you there, captain?"

The captain still lost in her thought. Was she in love in the first place and to whom? The captain?

"It seems, I've done it this time," the first mate says. "I apologize, but it isn't me. It seems you have forgotten. That makes me a bit sad," the first mate, stands up. "But I do wish your dreams were to come true, captain."

Captain? That's right, she's the captain of the ship and why is the first mate in her room?

"Wh... what are you doing here?" the captain asks.

"Captain?" the first mate asks, "What do you mean?"

"Why are you here?"

"You asked me to. You told me something was on your mind," says the first mate. "I asked you to take a walk after dark, it might get your mind off things. Then you told me to come here with you."

That doesn't make any sense, thought the captain.

"What were we talking about?" asks the captain.

"You never told me," the first mate replies. "You said you forgot about it."

"Did I?" the captain asks.

"Yes," the first mate says. "I was in actually leaving when you asked me to wear your hat."

"My hat? Oh!" says the captain as she sees him wearing her captain's hat. "Did I?"

"Yes"

"I must've have been really tired," the captain says. "I forget things so trivial."

"Just like what you just don't remember that bugged your mind, captain?"

"I guess so," the captain stands and escorts the first mate to the door. The first mate takes off the hat and tries to hand it over.

"I think it suits you, my friend," says the captain.

"Oh! No, captain. It's suit you better. After all, you are the captain of this ship, am I right?"

"None sense, have you forgotten what I once said? Mere hat do not hold title," the captain says. "I am the captain of this ship. If you want you can keep it."

The first mate smiles and quickly wears the captain's hat on her.

"It fits you better, captain," the first mate says. "Beside, if you're still bothered, why not remember that thing that was on your mind. Is it love, I hope?"

He knows. But she is still confused. Who was she in love with? Was it the first mate? Or was it someone else from her memory. She can't remember.

Creak on the floor can be heard from the distance. The first mate walks away, with both a good night and a good lie.

The First Mate has no Dilemma

"Sorry, I need to go check up there for a bit and then I'll go back," says the man of the sky. "It would be trouble if something from afar is going to us, or rain clouds were crash our drinking."

The crew raises their mugs, a toast to him. He is at that moment happy. That previous talk he had with the captain, helped him understand a thing or two. He sometimes wonder why though, it seems the captain no longer visits his bird's nest.

Dancing clouds happily graze the field of sky. Here and there a star would twinkle their gentle eyes. The moon in its crescent hue silently reflects on the still ocean. The ship is in the middle of the ocean, and not a single light nor land is nearby.

The man of the sky effortlessly climbs the mast. He must see to his duty but he must not forget the minute. He smiles as he grasp the edge of the bird's nest. And there he finds the first mate sleeping. A paper beside him tries to fly as his pocket watch holds it down. It is odd to see the first mate on the bird's nest, let alone be there to rest and sleep.

He tries to get in quietly but a creek on his footing sounded. The first mate opens his eye and gives the man of the sky a smile.

"Good evening," says the first mate. "I'm sorry, if I'm taking a rest here."

He tries to get up. The man of the sky smiles and waves at him, it is fine. The first mate gives him a smile..

"Why are you here, sir?" asks the man of the sky. "Shouldn't you be there down below?"

"Why shouldn't I be here?" asks the first mate. The man of the sky backs. Have this happened before? "Maybe," the first mate continues. "Or maybe not."

"Sir, I mean," the man of the sky tries to speak.

"- I just want to look at the sky, that's all," says the first mate.

"Really?"

"I might have fallen asleep while I was here," says the first mate as he sits up. "I'll be going down in just a bit. I just want look a bit more. I hope it doesn't bother you."

"No, sir," the man of the sky replies.

"Why are you here, might I ask?" asks the first mate. "You're having fun down below, am I right? Or is it duty?"

The man of the sky and nodded. The first mate gets up and stares at the evening sky.

"You have the best duty," says the first mate. "You have lots of things going on here. The wind is great, the view is amazing, the silent is just pure. Away from us down below, chaotic, nothing else to see but the constant faces. Not to mention the constant things we do down below. It's becoming a bit redundant. While you get to see a lot of things. The first star to rise, the last star to disappear from the sky. Face of clouds from the distant, that we are from below to busy to see. A new land greets you first before all of us, even the captain. I am sure."

"You're looking at the big picture," says the man of the sky. "You have to see the minute details. It's what the captain once told me. You may see it that way but you forget to see the small things."

"I don't understand," the first mate says. "Small things? big picture?"

"I mean, if you're just looking at the bright side of what I do, you have not yet seen the bad side from my duty up here. The weather is sometimes cold, the fear of enemy attacking us lingers from the back of my mind. Storms from afar may be brewing, I have to keep track of them. I'm afraid of going to those, it is very cold up here. Yet it is my duty to be here. As for new lands to greet me. I often get left behind on the ship to guard it here. I want to walk on many land as well, if not all of the land we've seen and were to see.

"It get's lonely here sometimes," the man of the sky confesses. "But the captain's visits were what held me. He taught me that, to look on the small details as well. You guys down below are not just working the same work everyday, you're having fun with everyone. The evening drinking as well as the laughter I hear from below. It makes me envious at times. I usually go down there to join them. But I'm not abandoning my duty."

"You've grown quite a bit," the first mate says. As he stands up. "I'm going down now. But do please take care."

"Are you mad at me, sir, for abandoning my post?"

"Why would I? You're happy, am I right?" the man of the sky smiles. He is. "Look further. And look even more at the most minute detail. Perhaps you'll understand something a bit more."

It is the first time he had a talk with the first mate. But it seems they've been friends for a very long time. Mayhaps it wasn't the captain he was speaking with most of the time. It was always dark there and all, perhaps he was always talking with the first mate all along. Or was it a trick?

poetry #7

When you've been in love
For so many times,
You some how
Forget. it.

When you've been rejected
Lots of times
You somehow
Forget.

Love and rejections
Makes one
Grow.

Quick Comparison: Hidan no Aria (anime) and Taboo Tattoo (anime)

I just finished watching both the season one and season 2 of Hidan no Aria, and I'd say the series has the same concept with Taboo Tattoo. Only thing is that Hidan no Aria follows things more logically and a bit to the point. Except for the bullets only hitting the armored part of their bodies.

But aside that, Hidan no Aria is set in a world where combat training and such are thought in school. Students studying in such school are allowed to carry fire arms as well as carry out arrests when need be. Other than that, I guess I'm just more interested on the guns, plus the fighting techniques showed.

The ending of Hidan no Aria, much like Taboo Tattoo, has this giant monster or robot as well, but not so much as a global threat. Basically follows law of reason, and such incidents happening also gets treated logically. That is looking at it in the point of view of a contemporary civilian.

As for Taboo Tattoo, shits just suddenly went from small scale to global god shits. Megazords appearing and fighting. It felt like mashed and rushed for it to end.

As for the love story, I guess both didn't emphasize well. Taboo Tattoo's romance suck. Hidan no Aria's season one, got me hook for the shipping of the two main characters. But on season two, it got cock blocked or something like that. Or maybe perhaps there was actually no romance between the two MC in Hidan no Aria as much as I would want it to happen.

Another funny thing and quite new to me, despite having her name in the title Kanzaki Aria of Hidan no Aria, it seems both season one and season two, she doesn't have the part of the main role. Season one has Kinji Toyama while season two has Akari Mamiya, both having hidden talents at the start of their own season, as for Aria, she's like a support character. The main characters revolves around her while we audience sees Aria's character revolve around them.

Like Legend of Zelda, perhaps?

Why I didn't bother? (Taboo Tattoo and Gamers!)

I didn't want to make any post regarding this but then again, what the heck. It'll be just short and it'll be only about what I find interesting in these two series.

The anime Taboo Tattoo is entirely sci-fi fantasy and fighting, nothing more. I enjoyed most part of the anime but the thing is, it's quite bland. The first few episode explained how to tattoo's, the power of the characters, works but I was surprisingly annoyed how it turned from singular power up to god level power to a point of megazord battles.

The fallen princess, Touka, should have been given more emphasis, or to be exact, the tragedy of the main hero should have been given more priority. In the end, Touka died without making any established emotional connection with the audience, or at least to me. How the time skip happened and how he felt nothing after wards is what made his feelings for the fallen princess bland. Or at least, that's how I saw it. It wasn't given much emphasis.

You may ask, isn't the death of the fallen princess the same with what happened in Erased (anime)? To be fair, NO TIME SKIP HAPPENED in  the anime Erased. Other than that, the sister of the MC was really shown, and the effect of her death was REALLY SHOWN. Even though the characters and the power logic in the anime Erased got a bit overwhelming, it stayed true and logical.

As I said, the ending of the Taboo Tattoo just felt like mashed up sci-fi fantasy action. It went beyond the magical realism logic of the anime. Or rather, it suddenly became too much. God powers then turning to megazord battle?

As for the romance side, there is no connection between Seigi and Bluessy, that's how I see it. If it does, I guess it's all on BB, not the main character.

Next is the anime Gamers! I'd like to add it to my feel good anime list, then again.. I just didn't. I don't know why. It's main theme is misunderstanding while showcasing gaming. While watching the anime, I told myself, I'm watching Midsummer Night's Dream, with all the confusion and mishaps happening.

It's really a fun anime to watch. But it's unfortunate no clear up happened. Aside from that, this is the first time I've seen a love pentagon. Love between five people, or rather a misunderstanding between these people. Fortunately, I didn't ended up like School Days (anime).

-/_ -

Odd enough, I think I might have developed something like a trauma after watching school days. Harem is nice and all but betrayal and abuse leaves a bad taste to my mind.

(no title)

There were fire on the distant. The captain of a sunk sink float aimlessly on a fallen door. His ship have sunk. His crew dead and no one else was there to see him die. But a woman with argent hair swam to him.

"Your voice," the captain of a sunk ship said, "I could drown in it. And still be alive."

"Says the captain of the ship I just sunk," the woman with argent hair said. She looked with depth in the fallen man. His life is over, his family, no more. She is the cause of his suffering.

"I'm glad it was you," the captain of a sunk ship said. He was delirious yet conscious. Was he dreaming?

"I sunk your ship,"the woman with argent hair repeated. "Are you not mad?"

"I am mad. My crew, my friends, my family, all of them... suddenly no more. Hence, I am sad. Yet, I am pathetic. To you I am madly in love," the captain of a sunk ship replied. "I'm happy."

"You have no more future ahead of you," the argent woman said. "Still you are happy?"

"I met you," the delirious captain said. "For all the memories, treasures and men I've been with. It was just price to meet you."

"You are mad," the argent woman said. The delirious captain smiled and coughed some blood. A piece of debris have pierced his gut. The salt water was making it worst.

"I'm happy to have met you," the delirious captain said. "That's all that matters now."

"Why?"

"You, of all the beautiful creatures to ever live, must know better the answer to that question," the delirious captain replied. "But alas, this moment is but fleeting. I do hope you forget about me. Such a pathetic captain of a sunk ship. But you where ever I go here after, I will never forget. I am happy."

"Liar," whispered the argent woman.

"Perhaps I am," the delirious captain said. "Unfortunately, you won't ever know."

The captain smiled as he joined his crew in the after life. The argent woman upon seeing the death of pathetic captain swam deeper. Even though he told her to forget about it. She knew it will be a long time until she does.

"Come to think it," the argent woman said. "What was his name?"

O Maidens in your Savage Season (anime) Mari Okada, Masahiro Ando, Takuro Tsukada

Satisfying anime to watch. The series focuses on what beyond the prejudice we have on high school girl. Their relative real life, not just some masked beauty and charm, but what lies beyond. The erotic employed were brand new to me as instead of going down the road of "School Days" (anime) it went beautifully.

It explores the beauty of love triangle masterfully. The way how the characters stands in a misunderstanding, how the situation got handled, that surprising revelation at the end. It's like a genius chemist concocted this amazing anime.

Other than than that, it hits deep that the main characters are in a literature club and how the young understudies are struggling with their learning for they themselves have not yet fully understood the world: S.E. cross, in the case of the literature club. It explores how the girls sees the boys, they can have prejudice as well, but then again, such misunderstanding can be change.

People, first and foremost, grow up, after all. Their prejudice came from their innocence and when it all came down on them, their maturity ripened and they've grown. That's the whole gist of the series.

I wanted to cry because of the tragedy when it comes to love triangle as well as forbidden love, and yet, the ending left me satisfied. The romance aspect of this series made me on edge, "Please don't be like School Days (anime), Please don't be like School Days (anime)" and I'm glad it didn't became like that.

The confessions, rejections and misunderstandings, reminded me as well of "Anthem of the Hearth (anime movie)." A great anime movie but I felt betrayed at the end of the movie. As for this series, the after story was awesome.

The couple I was most excited about was that of Hitoto-san and Milo-sensei, it's a forbidden love, a bit unrequited or rather restraint but it was the right action, at least to me. Milo-sensei was determined as well as awesome being an adviser of the literature club as well as being a teacher to Hitoto-san. He did it well trying to set Hitoto-san, though it seems at the end, her feelings for her never changed.

I hope for the best of these two. Also it reminds me a bit of the anime "Domestic Girlfriend (anime)" but in this case, the teacher took the proper route while not letting have the student the full hurt. Perhaps it's because their genders are swap, or maybe that's just me being a sexist. Milo-sensei have great mental fortitude and an air of maturity. A real grown up, as was said.

For the other two, the love triangle, the main focus of the anime, and the homosexual love. It feels cliche, at least to me. But the only deviation was that they ended on a happy note.

I'm pretty sure, the literature club got reprimanded dearly for what had happened in the end. But I'm sure as well, their adviser backed them up and have took the full responsibility.

-/_ -

I'm sorry if I stated quite a few anime to compare it too but I guess, it's a cliche series that I never wanted but I never knew I needed. A happy ending for certain tragic cliches. Something new to me.

Sweetness and Lightning (anime) by Mitsutaka Hirota, Tarou Iwasaki

https://darkanime.stream/animes/amaama-to-inazuma/episodes/12

Definitely a nice addition to my feel good anime.

I was expecting thrill and romance with this one but all I got was a good time watching the series. It depicts how parent truly loves his/her child, and what better way to showcase than have the main protagonist widowed husband carrying for his growing daughter.

The feel and charm of the little child truly captures the soul of how little children act. Even the time Tsumugi Inuzuka left home to find somebody to help her when her father, Kohei Inuzuka, was sick. She braved the streets just to get to someone she really knows and trust, Kotori Iida.

Even the little fights and squabbles between the parent and child. The scolding and caring of the father, it was all on point.

What hit me most and probably the most important thing to have happened in the series is the confession of Kohei to his daughter: as a parent "HE DOESN'T LIKE SCOLDING HIS DAUGHTER, BUT BECAUSE HIS DAUGHTER IS DOING SOMETHING WRONG. HE WILL DO HIS BEST TO SCOLD HER." Tsugumi realizes then how her father cares for her.

Odd enough, I do believe the lightness of the scene and the taste of the food will make her soon forget the lesson she's getting. But I'm pretty sure in the long run, she's growing up.

Another thing was when Tsugumi realized the mortality of her father. She became clingy to him, acting out like a cat, her hug and tears were truly on point as an only child of a widower. Even if she gets mad at her father, it is fact that she really loves him very much.

It was a nice experience watching this anime. I really had fun watching it. Somehow I was expecting a romance to bud between the student and the teacher while wanting it to not happen. It is supposed to revolve around Kohei and Tsugumi, first and foremost. But I wonder what happens after.

Also, I wonder what happens to Tsugumi as she grows older.

Poetry #6: (no title)

A rainbow
After rain
A smile
After crying.

Beautiful World
We're in...

Fret not,
Do not
Be sad.

After all,
Things pass.

After a
Heavy storm,
Rainbow comes.

After crying
For long,
Just smile.

The First Mate is perhaps the Dilemma

"What lies beyond, captain?" an aloof patrol resting on a railing. "What are we supposed to do when we get there?"

"That is your decision," the captain answered.

The gentle moonlight caresses the waving hand of the tide. The stars gently watches how the story unfolds.

"What are you looking for, my good friend?" the first mate asked. "Certainly, I know most of us have found it. Yet your eyes, tells yours have yet to be."

The aloof patrol glanced at the first mate. He was talking with the captain. He has no business with them. But it seems so. The aloof patrol took a sigh and stoop his head on the railings. He was tired.

"You're not tired, my good friend," the first mate said. "You aren't. Tell us, and may our ears remedy your sorrow."

"It is already night, my dear crew," the captain said. "Should we not go back and take rest? As for you, shouldn't you be patrolling?"

"It's fine. The man in the sky is up there. No lost soul will abrupt our peace. At least for tonight," the first mate smiled. "We have time, captain. I'm sure of it. Or are you just tired, much like him?"

The captain seemed to have underestimated her first mate's intuition. He knew.

"Suit yourself, my friend," the captain sighed and left. "We still have duty, tonight and tomorrow. Rest when needed."

The first mate smiled and bid her good night.

"It is unfortunate the captain does not see the beauty of sound in this glorious scene," the first mate said. His eyes on the horizon. Perhaps even beyond.

He knew the answer, the aloof patrol thought.

"Perhaps I do," the first mate said. "But looking at it in a different place, that's what I'm still searching for."

He read my thought, the aloof patrol thought once more. The first mate smiled at him.

"Perhaps I do not. I have yet to see it all, my good friend," the first mate asked. "So what do you seek beyond the horizon? Surely, it isn't just some love story you wish to venture, or some justice you once sought and lost. To be fair, there are lands everywhere, I'm definite, it's not what I said you're looking for."

The aloof patrol basked in the thought the first mate was telling him. He may not seem like it but he is wise.

"Thank you," the first mate said.

He read my thought, the aloof patrol said.

"Thank you for being here," the first mate repeated. "I have lost some of my memories, you see. And here I am, looking forward to making more memories. I like going on adventures. The thrills it brings. We may suffer along the way but I'm sure the memories we share are all true. Am I right?"

"Lost your memory?" the aloof patrol wandered.

"Perhaps, the memories I've lost are somewhere there beyond the horizon," the first mate smiled. "Or perhaps, we've past it by, and here I am unaware of it. That's a sorrowful thought to have, but still I am glad. I'm making memories, new memories. Memories to take place for the once I've lost. As you can see, my good friend. I'm not good when it comes to memory. I often forget things, especially in the distant past. I have lost a lot. I know but at the same time I don't. I can't remember any of the memory I've lost. Ironic, isn't it?

But I am happy," the first mate said. "So tell me, what is you are looking for beyond the horizon you seek?"

The aloof patrol sighed. He was still sad. But right now, he forgot. What was he looking for again?

"Or do we have the same dilemma, you and I?" the first mate laughed. Upon realizing this, the aloof patrol also laughed. Perhaps they were both lost from the start. They have no recollection of their forgotten memories. Yet they still go beyond the horizon to make more memories.

The aloof patrol with renewed spirit waved goodbye to the first mate and continued on with his patrol. In his mind the things that they will see beyond it all.

But of course, the Firefly King lied. Was it a trick? To the the aloof patrol? To the crew and the captain? Or to himself? He knows.

The gentle moonlight caresses the waving hand of the tide. The stars gently watches how the story unfolds.

Black Bullet (anime): Enju Aihara's Mental Fortitude and Rentaro Satomi's Prejudice

I apologize, foremost, for I have no confidence that this post will do justice for what I want to discuss. I'm sleepy at the moment, I'm on a deadline and yet here I am wanting to type this little topic. It might even be not worth writing as it's perhaps already generally known but I still want this written.

During the third Kanto War, when most of the Promoters as well as Initiators are injured and are remedied in a clinic, Enju was helping around. Not by doing medical stuffs but by being with the people who needs somebody to cling on. She held hands of Promoters who are in pain, she helps everyone she sees. When Sensei Sumire saw how little Enju fares, she complimented her. How the initiator, just a little girl, can keep up her mental fortitude while her promoter is being childish and such.

I do believe the one to blame here is Rentaro Satomi.

Right from point the two met, Rentaro wanted to give Enju the life of a little girl. He never saw her as a tool, but only just a child. And he wanted her to live a normal life. When push comes to shove, it happened thrice, Rentaro hides the certain reality the live in to Enju. It was his way of saving her. She couldn't bear the reality they live in. People die, a certain thing the little children should not realize too early in their lives. He doesn't want them to see it all. To him, the world is cruel but he will make it beautiful for those little children.

Here lies Rentaro's prejudice. He sees the Cursed Children not as tool but as innocent children. Is it not wrong? To hide the reality of  the world to their young mind? She couldn't bear to see it, he thought. He always thought... But he didn't realize that it was him who couldn't bear to see them cry.

They are too young. He is too kind. Their heart shouldn't bear it. Bear this certain reality they live. He couldn't bear it. For her sake, he lies. He hides the truth from her. But she knows. She knows it all. She knows his concern for her. That is why he lies. She knows the world is cruel, but she also knows he is trying to make it beautiful.

He did it a lot of times:

He gave her a warning shot in order for her to run away. They couldn't beat their enemies, if they continue so, they both will die. He told her to run away as he took the brunt of it all. He couldn't see her go, he'll do anything for her.

When Enju took a diagnostic exam, her evaluation was critical. When she asked Rentaro how did she do with the test, he lied. Everything was going to well. He didn't want to believe the reality the live in. He lied. But I know Enju knows. He lied for her sake.

When they were supposed their class one last time before the battle with the giant monster, immediately Rentaro realized what had happened. He tried to take her away from the truth by holding her back. But against her, he couldn't. He was broken as he heard Enju cry. Her classmates, her friends, Cursed Child just like her, killed. Was it not enough that Rentaro have to bear the images of his students corpse but as well hear his precious Enju cry?

He punched Enju on her gut to knock her unconscious. If he hadn't done so, she will stay with him and die. He couldn't bear Enju dying. He'd prefer sacrificing himself than see anymore of his precious friend suffer. He couldn't bear to see Enju suffer. He didn't want to lose Enju.

When the match between the Tendo sibling ended, Rentaro ordered the two children to not look back. He knew what happened. The reality they live in and the lie he believed. He shared with the children. He lied. The beautiful world is a lie.

But I'll say it again, I believe Enju knows. She knows what Rentaro was doing. She knows it was all for her sake. She knows that even he believed in a lie he made, it was all for her. If she breaks down just for a bit, that certain lie will certainly be the death of Rentaro. Sh had to stay strong for him. Even though she knows the beautiful world is a lie. Even though she knows the world is cruel. She mustn't falter. He loves Rentaro dearly. Even if he sees her only just a child, she understands him.

That prejudice that Rentaro keep towards the Cursed Children being only little innocent children. That lie Rentaro keep towards everyone losing hope as well to himself. It was all that had made the world beautiful for the Cursed Children, especially for our little Enju.

That certain prejudice that sees the world in a child's eye. No malice, only kindness and a certain blindness to the cruelty of the world. Its what that had kept it all. And when Rentaro forgot it all, a certain choice of word of Enju pulled him back. Slowly the cruel world has once more turned beautiful.

He cried as he held her tighter. Only was it then that he realized the fear he didn't want to be, has already become himself. And only in that realization that he can still come back.

I wonder what the second season will be like..

Black Bullet (anime) by Tatsuhiko Urahata, Masayuki Kojima

https://animelon.com/video/57983a4c641f6457395b6ae5
https://animelon.com/video/57983a4b641f6457395b6ae2 - from the previous post

This last episode as well the one I previously posted with regards to this anime moved me. Though the last episode didn't make cry, I felt a bit relieved. The anime was all about the fighting and somehow I forgot his one lesson that should be priority principle: to be human. I hardly notice it but the anime is all about growing up.
\
In the series, the whole is over run by monsters called Gastrea, huge evolved monsters that comes to annihilate all the human race. They reproduce or rather multiply by converting human to monsters. Humanity's hope last on walls they created to fend of the monsters as well as hunter teams (made of pair) to fight off the Gastrea.

The hunter teams are composed of a Promoter and an Initiator. Promoters are humans who are to be both the team leader of the pair as well as guardian of the promoter. The Promoter are special humans which are children infused with the blood of the Gastrea. These children have power up to par with the monsters.  They are called Cursed Children.

Unfortunately, most humanity fails to see the Cursed Children as their savior but only the same as the monsters. They fear these children. Even some of the Promoters sees their partners only as tools for them to use. They all fail to see that these Cursed Children are just children. And just like them, human.

Enju even stated an obvious fact, which Rentaro said only rumor, they are using them the Cursed Children againsts the Gastrea as a mean to kill each other. Two birds with one stone, right?

Rentaro Satomi, our main hero, on the other hand, sees it differently. These Cursed Children people have prejudiced with are just, to him, children, human much like anyone else. They are risking their lives to save everyone. Yet everyone sees them differently. He is a Promoter who wants to do all he could for his Initiator, his Cursed Child partner Enju Aihara.

His kindness to these children even goes out to letting his partner go to school as he alone take on jobs that requires both of them. He wanted to give her a normal human life, just like anyone else. It was unfortunate that their job as well as their duty to save the world takes more time from his partner.

On one of their mission, they met up with a little girl, a Cursed Child, Kayo. She was used as a tool by her Promoter but due to circumstance they got separated. His chat with her gave a bit of detail to how Rentaro was still a child. Even though it's hypocritical of himself, he lectured the Kayo about killing, stating that she should not fear killing but it is when she becomes unaffected by the killings and deaths around her is what she should feel. He killed a few times, the Cursed Child knows, but she accepted his lectures.

It was ironic, that only in the last episode did Rentaro noticed that he had grown up and the deaths around him have unaffected him. It became all to normal. He held on tight to Enju asking her to stay be his side no matter what. He had lost his ways and only Enju was the only thing that helped him back.

He had grown but to what price? He lost himself.

One thing that held me back from crying, thought the Firefly King, the hero realizes his mistake and went back to the light. The hero cries his heart out to his little comrade. He lost a lot, in those he also lost himself. He became what he feared the most. He broke his principle. Even though he thought he held himself up right while the world breaks him, he thought he won't break.

But he broke. Only when his little comrade made him realized his dents, his cracks and tear, did he realized he was broken. He cried and held her tight. He became afraid of himself, while at the same time, he was saved.

The lost hero was found, thought the Firefly King and smiled. What a wonderful story. I wish to know more of what is to happen. I wonder when.

~/_ ~

The world is cruel...
(Kayo died by Rentaro's hand, it was protocol. When the corruption rate of a Initiator pass a certain limit, it is inevitable they will turn to Gastrea, monsters. He had to shoot her, a little girl. She smiled and told him how happy they met each other. Rentaro was tearful as he pulled the trigger)
(Midori killed herself because she doesn't want to let others feel the burden. As the leader of their battle, it was his duty to see to it that protocols are met. Rentaro wanted to save her but Midori knows the truth. She knows what will happen. She excused herself to take a breather. Unbeknownst to everyone, she killed herself)
(His admired superior in martial arts class, Shoma. As Rentaro tries to sacrifice himself to save everyone, he fails. Shoma rescued him and tells him that he will do the fatal blow. Shoma sacrificed himself to defeat a super sized Gastrea)
(Everyone in his class, the little girls, the Cursed Children that he thought, that have dreams. That he somehow have grown attached with aside from Enju. Dying from an explosion unbeknownst to them)

Yet after all this, it doesn't have to be ugly. (ripped from Jhin in League of Legends - I don't play this game):

(Enju is always their for him and when Enju needs him, he is always there either looking after her or chasing after her, she's just a child after all)

poetry #5: The Broken Man

Only now
You've notice
The cracks.

You're afraid
Is it?
I'm right?

You came
To notice,
You're broken.

Too much,
No less,
You're broken.

You wish,
For it,
To hold,

But then,
Only tears,
Will fix,

You thought,
The cracks,
The dents,
Your scars,
That pain,
Your numbness...

Don't you
Feel anything?

You're broken,
Yet not
As much.

Don't you
Feel it?

Their screams,
Their death,
Their agony,
Their cry,
Their sorrow.

You've become,
The fear,
You never
Intend be.

That numbness,
Certain feeling,
Of alright,
Everything's fine,
Nothing matters,
No worries...

As it,
The world,
Burns melancholy.

You cannot
Feel it?
Is it
I'm right?

Only now,
You came
To notice
You're broken.

poetry #4: Mirror

You're broken!
The man said
As he breaks.

The broken figure
In front of him
Stares silently envious.

Were you not
The one who breaks?
Asked the figure.

He looks upset.
The man thought
As he breaks.

Were you not
The one they
Continue to break?

You smile, true
But your tears
You hide in fear?

Were you not
The unfortunate one
Who breaks and smile?

Try to pretend
As much you want
But that mask will crumble.

Cry, if you must.
Be angry, if you want.
But most importantly:

Don't forget yourself,
Do not forget.
Who you are.

Just something as I watch Black Bullet.. the hero and the villain made a truce.

Black Bullet (anime): Grown too attached..

https://animelon.com/video/57983a4b641f6457395b6ae2

I supposed this episode is somewhat just a filler.. but it just ran deep. Very very deep.

The series beside focusing on the sci-fi, it also tackles on the theme of prejudice. Being a cursed child, though having powers that like of the enemy monsters, it's down is that people have prejudice towards you. Even if these children have the power to fight and defend the society, they are seen as monsters, since first and foremost, they carry with them the blood of the monsters they are supposed to fight.

Even if these children are fighting for the people, the people treat them with indifference. They can't go to school if people found about them. They treat them like animals, or even worst. Society just deemed them to be the same as the monsters who are trying to kill everyone. The government employs these troubled souls but not as an employees but only as just tools. They do not see them as human.

Rentaro Satomi sees otherwise. They may be powerful being, but they are not tools. They are human just like anyone else. He sees past who they really are, they are just children. Nothing more, nothing less.

That foreshadowing and red flag was just too sudden. The comrade at arms of Satomi even told him to not get too attached to his students. Our little girl, Enju, also a cursed child but an indispensable partner of our main hero, promised to see her classmates again, who are also cursed child. She even brought her favorite anime collection so that they'll watch it with her.

It was too late when they arrived at the open court school, a bomb was set. Police surrounded the vicinity for investigation. The casualties: all of Enju's little friends, Satomi's students.

These cursed children... they did nothing wrong. They never wanted to be the way they are, they just have no choice to be who they were. They just want to be happy. They have dreams as well, Satomi's in his last session with them asked each and everyone of them. Some maybe a bit dull, some fantastic, but whatever, they are dreams. These children have dreams. And to see them die at a young age.

What would any friend do? What would any teacher do?

It's funny how there was a scene when most of the student fell in love with Satomi. They wanted to marry him. I know Satomi sees it as a admiration of little children, but after what happened.

Satomi asked his superior if what they are doing is right, if the ones they are protecting are the ones who they should protect. Should they fight for everyone while everyone just continue to hate? His superior's answered: there is hope. Even just a little, people will change. They fight for that glint of hope.

~/_ ~

The world is cruel... thought the Firefly King as he weep on an emotion he doesn't seem to understand. I am not a teacher, but just an observer. I do not know how teachers feel. But as a brother, as a father... or someone to be dearly respected and deeply loved, I weep for Satomi Rentaro. He wanted to see the beauty of the world. He wanted everyone to see it's beauty... but the world is just too cruel.

If it's for my daughter, I'd even defeat a demon lord (anime)

A sort of happy series that will get you to tears because of the kawaii story.

When it comes to children and parenting, things I'd often find interesting is their concept of love. To a child, promises are that equal of love relationship. That is why, if you make a promise to a child, one way or another, you must certainly keep it. It's their first concept of trust, which I think love is also.

If in case a kind child couldn't meet with their promise, they will feel sad. The feeling that they themselves betrayed someone who gave their trust.

It was the first scene when Latina asked Dale to go shopping with Kenneth. Even if Dale wanted to refuse, he couldn't since it's her daughter's wish, on one condition: never let go of Kenneth. Unfortunately, that happened. During the walk of Latina and Kenneth, she got fascinated with a certain street performance that she let go of Kenneth's shirt. She broke her promise to Dale.

When she got saved, she felt sad. Latina was already in their home, while Dale, still clueless, was still outside looking for her. And when Dale finally came back, he felt glad and relieved. He was at that moment happy. But to Latina, a very kind soul, she betrayed him. She cried to him and asked him to get mad at her. She made a mistake, she broke her promise.

That's how important promises are to children.

And the last thing I wanted to share is the love of Dale to Latina and Latina to Dale. It was funny, that Dale fully realized his parenthood to Latina that he ignored the love of Latina to him, in a couple romantic way, I think? Or maybe I'm wrong.

The entirety of the series showed how Dale tries to be the ideal father for Latina. He wanted to be always there for her. He was always caring for her. Latina knows of this, when Dale scolded Latina, she knew his concern for her. The time Dale went to the school to reprimand their treatment of her, that was quite amazing.

As for Latina's love, somehow, Dale made an imprint on her. The first morning Dale woke up with Latina, she held him back thinking that Dale will leave him. She was sad when Dale leaves or when he is working. Even if she's growing up, her attachment to Dale never wanes. And the last episode or two was what set the deal. She wanted to be an adult because she wanted to be with Dale more. She was tired of their waiting for him. Maybe if she's an adult, Latina could understand Dale better.

She was envious of Hermine when she's treated as a child. She somehow both misunderstood and understood it. She thought that being a child is what holding her back to Dale. She wanted to grow older, to be an adult, so she could be there for Dale. But at the same time, she knows that when she gets older, she would understand Dale more. She would better as daughter (or as a partner?) to Dale.

I do hope no romance to happen between the two.

Dale sees her nothing more but his daughter. But it's funny to see how Latina's face turned red when she thought it was Dale who was getting married in his hometown and how she became envious, somehow, of Hermine

Other thing I'd like to discuss is the fear of a child to be left. Not just being alone when one wakes up without mommy or daddy by our side. But by the thought that one day, these people we love and loves us more, will one day leave us.

Latina understood it first, she was afraid of what will happen to Dale and she was afraid of being left alone. It frustrated her to a point of wanting to deny herself being of a demon tribe. She tore and broke the last demon horn she has. She doesn't want it. She wanted to be with Dale. And when she calmed down a bit she regretted meeting Dale, wishing that she should've died in the forest. Because Dale will one day leave her side. But Dale dismissed this. He promised to love her and that the two will be living together, as a father and daughter.

As for Dale, people are already hinting it to him but he just wanted to care for his little daughter. When Latina states she wants to grow up, Dale's response is always the same: it's fine if you're still a child, don't over do it. At that point, Dale is very happy taking care of Latina as a little girl.

On the final episode, Hermine explained to Dale the situation why non-human kind often time refrain from loving. What would one of their kind would feel, if the person they are most attached with passed. Their love will always stay there, even long before their lovers died.

What moved me to genuine tears of sorrow was when Maya-chan the beast tribe pup, cried hard as Latina left her. I don't know why, but in a child's eye, saying bye-bye to a friend just feel painful. Or probably I'm just an introvert loner with no friends... that's why I feel a strong connection with the little pup. :(

It ended in happy note, and right now my mind is in cloud nine. I'm happy how the story ended as well as I'm excited for season 2, if it happens.

I'm sorry I couldn't do justice for this post.

Before this I also watched: Irregular at Magic High School, it was an amazing show. I was waiting for the foreshadowing to happen but I guess it was just my imagination. It ended with a cliffhanger. An amazing season 2 would be a dream come true.

Next I'll be watching is Black Bullet

Whispers of the Firefly King: Your Name

You saved everyone, but we have to hold on to your memories. It's a burden we have to carry. Your deeds are rewarded but this is the payment for your goodness. I know you bore no ill will while trying your best. But let me tell you. You did awesome. You saved everyone, you changed the past, you're alive, she's alive. But you'll forget about her. She'll forget about you.

I weep for you, hero who changed the past. I weep for your lover. You won yet, this thing you lost seemed to be a higher cost, heavier burden. I'm glad I'm carrying it for you but I... I.. I know it will all turn out good. I have this feeling. It will all be work out.

This memories of you two, will remain an empty void inside your heart. You will yearn for it to complete. You will do great things but not be satisfied, because there is something missing. But alas, time and fate are connected. Just like the two of you, in dreams and in your hear.

Find her, Taki. Find her, Mitsuha. If not, I'm certain, fate and time will let you two see each other, once more. Be it in a dream you've long forgotten. A drawing, you've drawn then. A picture of world you forgot. A bridge you two pass by in your daily life. Or from a window of a passing train.

You will see each other. Memories will not be kept, but your hearts will by then fill each other.

~/_ ~

Whispers of the Firefly King to a hero who changed the past and the princess who saved everyone.

The First mate is the Dilemma

"This isn't the place for me, right, captain?" the first mate asked.

"What do you mean?" the captain asked.

"You're all good compared to me," the first mate said. "I'm not a good swimmer, captain. I'm afraid of height when I go check on the sail. I get sea sick when I try walking outside during storms. I'm not good in fights. My navigation ability, my tracking ability are totally useless. I'm clueless when ever we explore new lands or new waters. I cannot talk to the sky and waters just like every is. I just like looking, but push come to shove, I'm just all bite and no bark. I'm worthless compared to everyone."

What is this man thinking, the captain thought. Her crew is more laid back compared to him. He is there whenever everyone needs helps. He shows no more fear when it comes to helping everyone in need. He is trying his hard. Yet, he doesn't see his value? It is all too absurd.

"Am I being absurd, captain?" the first mate asked. "I apologize, if that that's how you think of me."

"No, I just.. You're trying your best, I... we... everyone sees the effort you do. Even few or none sees your weakness, you stand. To me, that's a good quality to be where you are," the captain said.

"Is this the right place for me, captain?"

"I.. why not ask.." the captain form her thought. Did he just read her mind?

The first mate smiled. Her memories seemed vague but the smile of her first mate seemed resemble something she saw in the past. But what is it?

"I apologize," the first mate said. "If my ranting is making you confused, captain. I'll keep it quiet."

The first mate bowed and left.

"Wait!" the captain said. "As a captain, I cannot end it just like this. Here's my answer to you: you tell me, if this is the right place for you. Think about it thoroughly, before we get to the next inhabited land we visit. Then I can let you go if you want."

The first mate, turned around and once more smile.

"Thank you for trying, captain."

Cloud Tracing and Guitar

I wanted to draw and play the guitar. But it seems I couldn't. My hands aren't just connected with my eyes when I want to draw something. When it comes to the guitar, I just don't know how to let my hand dance to the music it plays. I'm just not skilled or rather patient to learn these.

But looking back, I guess these just stem from two things, for playing guitar, I just want to sing songs while hearing the melody and notes. I could just easily sing, though I'm not good at it, but it would be awesome as well to play it right. I want to sing some of my poems as well, but my inability just holds me back. I'm not going to stop writing and thinking of poems though. It's just what I like to do. Even without music, poetry will live in me. So says the fool.

As for drawing, I tried a few days back drawing but I just really can't. Some angles and lines just wouldn't match with what my eyes want to see to what my hands are tracing. Then my trivial of idea about cloud tracing came back to me. Why not let my eyes draw as my hand just follow through. Tracing, right?

Back in my school days, when our professor lectures us about then trivial matters, I was looking up the sky, tracing the clouds. My eyes are drawn to the passing clouds and my hands just caught interest on dancing on my notebook. I remember I even draw a lion's head just by doing this. But most of the time just certain trivial things.

Few years hence, and a few days back from the present, I decided to trace. I looked at prospect and just let my hand dance on a piece of paper. Suddenly I could draw. Not too good, but a bit better than how I usual doodle. Unfortunately, static objects and objects like the cloud that move ever slowly are just what I could deem worth drawing. I tried drawing a cat, but didn't end well. I want to draw other people too. But my eyes would just be rude to stare.

I wish to see the clouds again. And perhaps, like a music, my hands will dance again on a piece of paper. I wonder what will I draw once more when it happens.

just a short post of what I'm doing right now

https://www4.kissanime.video/anime/denpa-kyoushi-tv--episode-16

Just want to share this episode I just watched. The idea of having earthbound spirits not able to go to the other side. And the idea of having audiences wait for a certain next episode or chapter that will never happen, published. That unrequited feeling of promise. I just suddenly teared my eyes. For all the foolish things I'm watching right now, this one, episode/scene, certainly touched my heart.

Series I just finished and am currently watching:

Wataten: An angel flew down on me
Tanaka kun is always listless
Classroom of the elite

And now, Denpa Kyoushi (Ultimate Teacher Otaku)

I'll probably watch, Irregalur at Magic Highschool, Ixion Saga DT, Black Bullet, then I think I can watch some nice dark anime once more. Or probably in between that. School Live, Clannad? Another, Golden Time, Beyond the Boundary, are anime's I'm looking forward to seeing :D

poetry #3 (no title)

Suddenly, memories forgotten,
Floods your mind.
At first sweet
as Christmas candies,
But not enough.
They are vague.
No form whatsoever.

You desire more,
What is this?
You can't remember,
What was it?

It won't come.

They just stay:
Forgotten,
At the tip of your tongue,
Vague incomprehensible memories

Memories, again?

School Days (Anime): Kotonoha Katsura

"Kotonoha Katsura," a faint voice whispered. "Are you happy?"

The yacht floats off to the horizon with Kotonoha still holding the severed head of her lover. At least, they can be forever.

"He's dead," the faint voice continued. "Are you sad?"

Kotonoha smiled, not minding the voice she is hearing. The warm ray of the sun grew less as it sets on. She held the head tighter.

"Forever, Makoto. Together, we are forever. No one will find us here. I killed her for you. She hurts you, right? I killed her for you. Don't worry, I don't care of who you've been with. I forgive you. I know you forgive me too, right? I slept with your friend, because I was very sad at that time but you forgave me, right? You understood me the most, right? You love me the most, right?"

"He's dead, Kotonoha Katsura," the faint voice repeated.

"He's with me. We will be forever together now," she said. She heard the faint voice. "No one will find us here, no one will take him away from me. We will stay together, forever."

"He's dead."

"He's here, with me. Touching my hand."

"That's his head."

"I just love how my fingers brush off Makoto's hair. Though he doesn't clean it. I just love everything about him."

"That's his severed head. It's rotting."

"I love how you smell, Makoto."

"He is decaying, Kotonoha Katsura," the faint voice repeated. "He is dead. Seika Saionji killed him."

"I killed her," Kotonoha said. "Don't worry, Makoto. She can no longer hurt you."

The Firefly King sighed. He can't win against this woman's delusion.

"Is this his promise to you," the Firefly King asked.

"Yes! Yes! Makoto promised me to watch the sunset with me, when we get her. And here he is with me. His promise for me. I don't care if he lied to me with the After-Festival dance. I don't care if he had sex with Seika. He's here with me. He did it all for me. I'm happy. I'm happy. We can be together, finally."

"I've seen worlds similar to yours with slight deviation," the Firefly King said. "Care to see them?"

"No, I'm happy right now. Nothing could make more happy."

"There is this one instance where Makoto saved you and you both lived a happy life," the Firefly King revealed. "Would you care to see it?"

Kotonoha was silent. She held the head of Makoto tighter. The sun have finally set. The clouds gave way for the moon and the stars to shine brighter.

"Are you sad, Kotonoha Katsura?"

"I love you, Makoto. I love you, Makoto. I love you, Makoto. I love you, Makoto."

The Firefly King sighed. She have died the time Makoto left her for Seika in the After-Festival dance. Though got reborn but died once more when Makoto revealed to her the end of their relationship. I'm too late to save her. Why must her love be too unconditional? Why must her love be too forgiving?

She was lonely in the entirety of the story. Often bullied for stating facts that are true, she is her girlfriend, but always gets rejected or sidetrack by her boyfriend. No one was by her side the whole time. Her first friend, Seika Saionji betrayed her. She promised to help her but she betrayed her. Yet she forgave her.

What broke her completely was seeing the dead body of Makoto. Seika killed her Makoto. Seika hurt Makoto in ways she would never do. Seika betrayed Makoto. Seika took and kept Makoto all for herself. She forgave all of this. But Seika taking away Makoto forever. Seika killing Makoto. That's something she cannot forgive.

In truth, if Seika didn't meddle with the secret admiration of Makoto for Kotonoha. None of this would have happened. The two, Makoto and Kotonoha, would have been strangers. But, the bridge that would connect them will be the same bridge that would take away her lover.

I wish I could re-write your tragic story, Kotonoha Katsura.

You did your best. You tried everything. You changed yourself. You forgave everything. You have been all too kind. Live an honest but tragic life. If you hadn't known the two. If you've stayed as just a distant admiration for Makoto. Perhaps, someone else would have come and saved you.

Odd enough, I can't weep for you but know that I am truly sad for you. You who've betrayed and lied upon over and over again. And for all of those, find the bright side and able to forgive it all but one thing. Your love is just too incomprehensible for me to understand. I'm sorry.

The sailing yacht continued on to the horizon. I flew away before I fell in love with ignorance.

School Days (Anime): Setsuna Kiyoura

Among the women that Makoto Itou had an affair with, these two, Kotonoha and Setsuna that I am most interested in. At first I wanted to make a post only with Setsuna Kiyoura but I think it would be too short, so why not make it a two analyses.

Setsuna Kiyoura is the best friend of Seika Saionji. She was always there for her as well as knows a lot about Seika Saionji. When her mother left for France and asked her to come, she was always there for Seika. Who else should be there for her? She knows the emotional mood swings of Seika, having her stay in her room without leaving or eating for days when she is awfully sad. She couldn't bear the idea of her leaving Seika.

But upon finding out the growing relationship between Makoto Itou and Seika Saionji, she felt relieved. Finally, there will be someone else to take care of her dear friend. Unfortunately, Kotonoha was still in the picture. She bear grudge towards Kotonoha because she's the one that causes her best friend heart aches.

On her last day with them, she asked Makoto Itou to be more sincere and be there for Seika, in place of her. But the fact that Kotonoha still lingers, as a collateral, Setsuna Kiyoura, had sex with Makoto Itou. She was in the first place, also in love with Makoto Itou, but for her best friend Seika, she gave up. But for the sake of Seika, she gave herself up to Makoto Itou.

Something's wrong with that, right? Or probably not.

She killed her prior feelings to Makoto for the sake of her best friend. She probably knows too well the sexual urges of Makoto as well as his infidelity and affairs, so for her best friend's sake, she gave herself to Makoto. She did it for her friend.

Or was it Makoto that initiated this? In the first place, when Setsuna went to Makoto's place, she only wanted to talk to him. But to some manner, he woke Setsuna's urges to love him back. It was really doomed from the start when Setsuna let her guard down. It was the first for the most of time, when Setsuna did such thing. The first was letting Makoto saw her cry, but that's a different thing. He took the chance when the ever respected and great self respect, Setsuna lowered her guard.

She did it for Seika. Everything she did, was for her best friend. But it was all in vain as Makoto continued his sex and infidelity.

I wonder what she was thinking after their sex. Did she do the right thing? It was for her, after all, right? Will Seika really be fine? She gave up herself for her friend, right? She used him as well, right? She wanted to feel him too, right? She love Makoto as well, so why should only be her best friend who could have sex with him? She was holding herself back, all the sake of her best friend, right? And only for her own to keep, a memory, she had sex with his best friends lover.

Was that right? Or am I wrong?

Setsuna is holier than thou type, right? It was for her best friend's sake. She gave herself up, so that Makoto wouldn't do any act of infidelity as well as things to hurt her friend Seika. But the end did not justify the means. Or did she think it does?

It went further than I expected, I'll make another post for Kotonoha Katsura.

gomenasai

I think Setsuna is that trying hard type as well. :) I kinda like her and I feel sad how she left and had to betray her friend just for that same friend's sake. She contradicted herself, but in her mind, she did an awfully good thing. But it was just too awful to be good.

poetry #2 (no title)

Are you fine with that?
The more memory you make,
The more memory you will forget.

You may be happy now,
Tomorrow, a few weeks hence,
or years later,
But there come will a time
A memory that lingers,
At the tip of your tongue:

a certain melody,
to a music you've always love,
a certain taste,
to a food you've always ate,
a certain scent,
to a perfume you've always admire,
a certain word,
to a line, a poetry or a dialogue you adore,
a certain love one,
to a time you thought you could never forget...

It will always be there,
Waiting for that right ignition,
But you won't remember.
You've forgotten.

Watashi mo Tenshi ga Maiorita, WATATEN (anime) by Yuka Yamada, Daisuke Hiramaki

https://www4.kissanime.video/anime/watashi-ni-tenshi-ga-maiorita-episode-12

The play done by the class 5-3, is amazing., please just watch the play of class 5-3. It's a great story.

As for stories, it explores the distinct bond between siblings, while also exploring the weird love between polar ages, in restraint. Even though the series progressed lightly in that flow. I guess, it also explores the difference in view point of an adult and a child.

:D

I like how the showed the bond between the two siblings. Even though Miyako undervalues her self, Hinata, on the other hand, greatly looks up to her sister. Even though she doesn't realize it, but when Hinata boasts her sister to her class, she exaggerates it a bit. Up to a point that everyone in her class adored, admired and greatly respected Miyako.

Also the unconditional love of a child, when Noa asked Hinata why she loves her sister, Miyako, she replied, I don't know but I love her the most. When did you start to love you sister? she continue asking. Hinata replied, I don't know but love her since forever. It's a child's love but greater than any romance we can see nowadays.

As for the love between polar ages... Miyako, isn't a pedophile. If that were the case then she should have tendency to want to do 'something' with the other girls as well as her sister that comes to their house. Miyako is just struck with Hana when they first met. Love at first sight, I guess.

Though Hana sees it as that, Miyako just wants to take care of her, right? Make her eat sweets, have her play dress ups and take pictures of her. Nothing wrong with it, right?

On occasions that Hana shows her childish side, Miyako steps back. She is aware of the situation, after all.Though, I think in the end, Hana grew fond of Miyako, as a big sister of her own. Hana doesn't have any siblings after all, so perhaps that's the reason why she took most of the time to accept Miyako as that.

Noa is a next door neighbor and a classmate of Hinata. Compared to Hinata, she had it easier to accept Miyako as a big sister of her own. She is also fond of Hinata.

Lastly as for view point of polar opposites. When Miyako confessed her love to Hana, Hana was delighted. Hana was sad with the prospect of Miyako leaving her. Odd enough Miyako, indirectly confessed to her, and tells Hana, that even if they were to leave, she'd always make her sweets, no matter where and when.

Hana accepted and was delighted for the prospect of eating the many sweets Miyako will make her.

----

I'd do injustice if I try to summarize the play of class 5-3. Please watch it, it's fairly short. Even the Firefly King was moved to tears.

The prospect of falling in love, sacrificing oneself for this sad love. And when at journey's end, the love have evolved.

Even this short description doesn't match that great visual portraying the play.

---

Next I'll be watching Tanaka-kun is always listless.

School Days (anime) by Makoto Uezo, Keitaro Motonaga

I wanted to watch this anime because of the gore and killing that happened when I come across clips of this anime. I never thought that it will start light then ends very heavily. I'm very satisfied with the ending the of story. I'm sad for the women that fell in love with Makoto Itou, especially for Kotonoha Katsura.

I mentioned on my previous post that this anime is about two liars and one tragic heroine, right?

Here's a simple gist, summary, of how the story unfolds:

Makoto Itou has a crush on Kotonoha Katsura. Seika Saionji has a crush on Makoto Itou. Seika helps Makoto get to know Kotonoha. The two, Makoto and Kotonoha became lovers. Because Makoto was just an idiot, the relationship with the two often times gets troubled. Seika always helps the two. To a point, when Makoto realizes his incompatability with Kotonoha and confesses his growing love for Seika. They had an affair.

All the while, with how troublesome Makoto could be, Kotonoha did all her best to be the perfect lover for Makoto. But she was too late. Makoto and Seika's relationship had grown stronger and Kotonoha was being left behind. There was no clean break that happened between the Makoto and Kotonoha. Kotonoha still thinks that between her and Makoto, they are still lovers.

On the day of their school festival, Kotonoha asked Makoto to dance with her with their 'After Festival' tradition. It was said that couples who danced were said to have their relationship mend or grow stronger. Makoto said yes but he lied. He went on to have an affair with another different woman and later on danced with Seika.

It was during this weakness that Kotonoha gave her 'first time' to Makoto's friend who somehow also have a crush on her. She was grief stricken when it all happened. Her moment of weakness. But after a chance encounted, she met up with Makoto, misunderstood him, 'somehow,' and she forgave him. All the while still thinking that she is Makoto's lover.

It was too late for Kotonoha when Makoto decided to man up and have a clean break with her. She was lost after that.

Makoto, as repeatedly stated in the anime, is really popular with the girls. He didn't just betrayed Kotonoha in the first place, but also had an affair with other women. When the festival ended, certain video popped up showing Makoto having an affair with a different woman. Seika saw this and went to Makoto to explain. Makoto's reason is that he's easily swayed. Seika stopped coming to school.

Makoto continued to having more affairs with different women. And by now when I say affair, it means sex.

One day, Seika came back to school and told Makoto that she's pregnant with Makoto's son. Shocked, and couldn't bear to take the responsibility, Makoto stepped back. This frustrated Seika and revealed their child to everyone in class. Thus ending the affair Makoto was having with other woman and also continuing his relationship with Seika.

But Kotonoha, though out of the picture, is still in love with Makoto. Her mind denied the Makoto breaking up with her. So she waited for him to come back to him. Her portrayal with patience was very sorrowful. She tries calling Makoto but because she was blocked, all her calls as well as messages could come through. She waited and waited to a point that she'd even talk to her phone even though no one was there. She had really fallen in love with Makoto, wanted to make amends and once more be by her side.

All the while she is ignorant of what happened and what Makoto did during the time he broke up with her.

On Christmas eve, Makoto is flustered of what had happened with him and Seika. He once more grown cold. So he decided to leave before having dinner with Seika, telling her that he's just going for a walk.  He just want to have an affair with different women. On his walk, he saw Kotonoha still waiting for him to come back to her.

Makoto apologized to her and ask her for forgiveness. Kotonoha once more accepted her. They went on a date. This time it was Seika that was left behind. Seika left the apartment of Makoto and cancelled dinner with him.

Makoto took Kotonoha back to his apartment and to have an affair with her. Seika suddenly came back to have her piece on Makoto but it was Kotonoha that opened the door for her. Surprised, she gave Kotonoha a slap and asked her to leave. But once more, Makoto wanted to love Kotonoha more and so he chose Kotonoha. Makoto and Kotonoha reconcilled

The next day, Makoto tells Seika that Kotonoha will help them to 'fix' what had happened to her, with the child she is carrying. Seika messages Makoto to speak to him in his apartment. Realizing that things will go out smoothly, Makoto obliged. When the two met in Makoto's apartment... I wonder what happened?

:D Just kidding

Seika stabbed Makoto and killed him. Afraid of what had happened Seika left. Kotonoha went to Makoto's apartment since they also have plans as well. There she saw Makoto's lifeless body. Makoto is dead.

In Seika's room, still regretting and fearful of what had happened, sulks in her bed when suddenly a message came to her. It was Makoto, asking her to meet at the school rooftop. She knows it's Kotonoha. She obliged.

On the school rooftop she met with Kotonoha. Kotonoha asked her why she wouldn't want to have the baby check. Then she speculated that there was, in the first place, no baby at all. Kotonoha cut Seika's neck and killed her. She cut her open to find that nothing was really in there. Seika was all along lying.

The anime ended with Kotonoha lying on a yacht in the middle of the see, hugging the head of the chopped up Makoto.

----

She snapped when Makoto is gone. Kotonoha had a cruel life in school. Often bullied by her colleagues and the only pillar for her is Makoto. Despite of what Makoto did, she forgives him. She changed herself for Makoto. She's a trying hard type girl archetype that I like, perhaps that's why I feel sorry for her.

If Makoto had just been less of an idiot, it would have gone better. If Makoto had just the courage to muster to have a clean break with Kotonoha, it wouldn't have been too late. Seriously, clean breaks are really important for dying relationship. Kotonoha was bullied all the while being in a relationship with Makoto, and she believed that he will be there for her always. Even though he wasn't. She believed him. She waited for her. She changed herself. She just wanted to be loved back.

When Makoto reconciled with her, Seika immidiately took away Makoto for good.

As for Seika, she's a liar. The relationship between her and Makoto are nothing more but farce. 'SPECIAL TRAINING' that just grew intense. She lied to herself for helping Makoto and Kotonoha instead of having Makoto for her as lovers. And when she can no longer bear it, she lied to Kotonoha. But when Makoto lied to her, betrayed her.. her patience just wasn't as great as Kotonoha. She snapped and killed Makoto.

Or perhaps, Kotonoha just wasn't aware? She was only aware of two things: Makoto's secret affair with Seika and Makoto's secret affair with Seika's bestfriend. On the other hand, Seika was aware with a lot of things plus she has right for Makoto's responsiblity, even though it's a lie.

Lastly, as for Makoto.. he's an idiot. His end was most appropriate.

I've said earlier, I wanted to watch the gore part of this series but it only at the end that I watched it. I check youtube for vids and found the different ending. Apparently, this anime is more like a visual novel game of some sort. It has different ending. I watched each ending.  There are two endings that I like:

1. Makoto being a man, went to Kotonoha to save her.
2. Kotonoha and Seika accepting each others as lovers for Makoto. They had a polygamy-ic affar. And on Christmas eve, the two will reveal to Makoto that they're both pregnant. The two women were happy.

The first one, showed what I wanted Makoto to do. Kotonoha most of all need the saving. She have nothing else to hold on to except for Makoto. Watching Makoto stood up for and saying she is his girlfriend was amazing to watch. Seika and the other bullies also apologized. Makoto made a happy ending for Kotonoha.

As for the second one, harem is amazing. But I wonder how Makoto will react to this sudden revelation.

Next I'll be watching Wataten, and Tanaka-kun... I need some happy anime.

very very short post: I just finished watching School Days

I'll write about the series tomorrow. I have to watch the 2 OVA as well. The end part was well deserved. I just feel bad towards the tragic heroine.

Two liars and a tragic heroine... what better love story can unfold, right?

For now, have to sleep.

:D

P.S.

School Days is not for young audiences.

Damn I think I need to watch comedy and fantasy comedy anime next....

Future Diary, Erased, Charlotte... Domestic Girl Friend, Magical Girl Site...

Right now, even though the movie Kimi no na Wa ended in a happy note, I've this feeling it didn't end well after the curtains closed.

Even Saekano I feel like have a sad ending as well... hopefully the movie in october gives it a great closure...

Probably gonna go for something very light and happy ending for my next anime series, Wataten? Or maybe Ixion Saga DT.. no news for Umaru chan s3, or perhaps Tanaka kun... Then again I could always watch Hitori Bocchi and Senju Girl, even just by episode they're a funny series.

While watching: School Days

It's an odd, story... this isn't going to be a review but just something that I'm getting while watching the anime.

What if trees that bear fruits have consciousness but are unable to express it, since they are after all not able to in the first place. People care's for it for the fruit it bears as well as trivial necessities but no one is able to know the feeling of a tree.

What if one day, instead of the fruit it bear, a person suddenly cared for the tree more, the fruit is a given, yes, but what of the tree? This person understand the trees. But no matter how much that person cares for the tree, the tree couldn't repay it. She'd be happy giving him her fruits, since that's what he wants, right? But what about her? She has feelings too but for that one person she cares about. She's killing herself.

It's a star-crossed thing.. or something like that.

She only realized she's a dryad when the boy confessed to her. He didn't want the fruit as he wanted it. He wants the tree. He got tree fetish after all.

They broke up when she revealed herself to her. He doesn't care about girls and other mythological shit, he wants trees.

DA FUQ I JUST TYPED???

Just a really short post. It's very vague, sorry for that.

P.S.

School Day anime is not for school day audiences/viewers :D

The Captain is a Dilemma

"Can you hear it, my good friend?" the captain spoke as his eyes are fixated on the moon looking at the ocean. "Can you not feel it?"

The first mate was behind him. She just found him sitting on a fallen log near the edge of a cliff looking across the ocean, the sky and the moon. They were staying in the same uninhabited island for a few days since. It was an odd request but the captain asked them to let him go explore the island alone.

Is the captain, dreaming? He did took a stock that would last him a day and a half, but not more than that. He must be delirious.

"I'm fine, my good friend," the captain smiled at her and stood. He went to her and took her hand. "Please, come sit by me, let's see this together. I wonder why it's only you that come to get me. I wonder why it took you long to come to me. But not right now. Look, the moon, tonight it is most beautiful."

The first mate looked once more but there she saw nothing spectacular. It's the just moon, the sky and the ocean. Nothing else.

"You can't see it?" the captain was looking at her before she realized it. The captain took a deep sigh. He was at that moment sad. "You can't really see it, right?"

"I can see the moon-"

"Yes, yes," the captain interrupted her with glee. Perhaps she sees it as well.

"The sky and the ocean," the first mate continued. "Is that it?"

The captain stood and walked back.

"Let's go back," the captain said. His tone changed. The captain was sad. She obliged and followed him.

"What am I supposed to look at, captain?" the first mate said as she got behind him.

"What I could."

"It's just what I said," the first mate replied irritatingly. He was vague. She doesn't understand him.

"Of everyone, I thought you'd understand me most, my good friend" the captain said. He read her thought. She was surprised and wanted to ask him if he could.

He gave her a smile.

"Do you remember why I took you all with me to the sea?" the captain said. Once more his tone change. He was sad but a hint of emptiness echoes in his breath. "You all told me your dreams, right? I can remember each and everyone's dream. Including yours. But I guess, that dream of your have realized. And now, I don't know what your dreams right now. My apology."

"Please, don't apologize at me, captain," the first made embarrassingly asked the captain. It's true she had achieved her dreams, then why is she still on the ship?

"Perhaps, you wanted to see it through, right?" the captain once more read her thought. "To see how this little voyage of us come to the end. The end of its journey, am I right? But I guess, you not saying it must mean you have other dreams as well, but you don't want to share it with us, am I right?"

"Captain? Can you re-"

"I can see the future too," the captain revealed to her. "But not the near future. I can only see distant."

"But..."

"Can't you feel it? I am the captain of this crew we have, I can only guess but right now and ever since. I'm feel a certain connection with you all," the captain said. "It makes me guess correctly what you will just say, right?"

The first mate appeared shocked but smile at him. Is he going to confe-

"Nope. I'm like a father to all of you," the captain said.

Did he just read her thoughts once more? Or did you saw it coming?

"I guess, it's both," the captain once more said. "But don't be sad. I love all of you equally," the captain said. She wanted to cry, she was rejected. The captain knows but he didn't said a word.

"You're like magic, captain," the first mate said in a happy childish tone. Her smile was a lie. "We should tell the others about it."

"You've forgotten, who am I, right?" the captain asked.

"What do you mean?" the first mate asked. Her sadness was now drowned by curiosity. "You're you, you're our captain. The one who'll sail us through it all."

"Is that right?" the captain asked. He stopped on their walk. He realized something. "Who am I before I became your captain?"

"You're... you're..."

"You've forgotten, right?" the captain said. His sadness came back. "Can you tell me my name, my good friend, my first mate."

She can't answer him. She doesn't know. She's forgotten him.

"For now, let's go back," the first mate asked him. "I'll ask the crew what your name is. I guess I'm just not really good at remembering names, right? They'll certainly know it. Come on, let's go."

"As you wish, captain."
