When both Yukitero Amano's was killed, Yuno came and saved him. She was there for him from the start to last. He vowed to himself that he will survive, win the game, become god and bring everyone back. He then came to a realization, He would need to kill Yuno Gasai as well. The one person that that stayed by his side. Can he do it? Will he do it?
Yuno gave Yuki a hug and promise him that she will protect him no matter what and that she will help him.
Yuno devised plans to defeat the remaining Diary users. As their plans are going smoothly, a friend of Yuki, Aru Akise appeared and tells the truth to Yuki. I was on edge while this happened, telling him, what's the point of knowing the truth about Yuno? She is the Yuno Yuki love, so no matter who she is, he has no reason to leave her. Fortunately enough, it went as I thought.
The planned was a messed up a bit they managed to defeat Eleventh. Now there are only three Diary users, Yukitero Amano, Yuno Gasai and Eighth, at that time under the custody of Akise Aru.
It is also worth saying that during this time Yukitero Amano and Yuno Gasai truly are lovers. Not yet at third base thought :(
When the two finally decides to confront and kill Eighth, Yuki's friends tries to stop them and did all they could to separate the two. But Yuki was easily manipulated here on out. He killed his friends but not before a slight hint was given to him. 'She will kill him.'
When they were the only Diary users left, they waited out for the final day to come. As to what was said in Yuno's diary, "Yuki and Yuno becomes one - Happy End."
This is where all the pieces became clear. After hitting home run :D
Yuki had a conversation with Yuno. He tells her that he doesn't mind if they both die together. He will not kill her. This suddenly angered Yuno. Yuno tries to kill Yuki. But Yuki got away. While he runs, Murmur, an aide to the then dying Deux Ex Machina, appeared and tells the story of Yuno.
The Yuno he was with was after from the first one, first incarnation, and the the world they are in is the second incarnation. The Yuno of the first world became its god but upon realizing that as god one may bring back the body but never the soul, essentially dead, Yuno of the first cannot bring back Yuki of the first. (They were also the last two surviving diary user in the first world), she wished herself away to the next incarnation, now the second, to stay with Yuki.
Mayhaps she planned on doing this over and over again. Again, it's love, right? I'd probably do it as well. Maybe?
Upon realizing this Yuki tries to confront Yuno. He wanted to bring some sense in her. Ninth return in some form of half human half god aide, tries helping Yuki against Yuno and the then aide of Deus Ex Machina. Yuno and Murmur escapes to the third world, the third incarnation. Two years prior of all that have happened. Yuki and Ninth followed as well.
When Yuki and Ninth arrived, they found out that they were ahead of the two and so they went for Yuno Gasai of the third. After rescuing Yuno of the third from her weakened state, which was believed to be cause by the mother of the third, they took her to the school.
In there, Yuki confronted Yuno as a last stand battle against her to put some sense in her. With the four from the second world continues battles as well as interruption with the flow of time, the third world drastically deviated from the path of the first and second. Yuki of the second world was then capture in an illusion world made by Yuno of the first. Through his love for her, Yuki broke free.
Before that, he saw herself, the Yuno of the Third being protected by her mother and father. The things she lost, and realized that Yuki had done the impossible. He gave the Yuno of the Third world something she never have. Aside from love, it's hope. Yuki, changed the futre.
Yuki went to Yuno, hugged her and ordered to stab him. That's what she wanted, right? But it's only in this moment when, a memory won't die in her head. He will live on as the Yuki who did the impossible. It's also during this, that Yuno realized it. Instead of her having the memory. It would be better if she becomes the memory. She's happy, the happiest in that moment. She stabbed herself.
Yuki of the second world was immediately declared winner and became the god of the second world. The last scene showed Yukitero of the second in a void with the Murmur of the second, few years past sitting isolation. Murmur asked for Yukitero to do and make something but declines saying, "There's just no point in making a world without Yuno."
The episode ended with the entry post in the Future Diary of Yuki, saying: "Yuno died," to "Yuno came to see me."
I'm glad I get to watch this after all the episode have been released since after watching the final episode an OVA was also present. The hereafter of the story.
Yukitero had his mind on the Yuno of the world but is too grieved to see her. Also was he even allowed to see her? Beside, it wasn't the Yuno of the third that she loved, it was the Yuno of the first. The one that has been there for him until she died.
The OVA focused on the life after of Yuno of the third, the drastic change affected the deviation of the third world. The Yukitero Amano of the third world went and gone on a date with the first girl they fall in love it. Yuno Gasai of the third world never met Yukitero Amano. The lovers in the third world are strangers and mayhaps will ever be.
Until one day, Yuno Gasai of the third world, find herself in a strange place, she was in the realm as Deus Ex Machina. Someone is calling her. After a bit of stops, she found her, the one calling for her, it was Murmur of the first world, the Murmur that assisted Yuno of the first world, the same Yuno that Yukitero Amano of the second world fell in love with.
She cried for the Yuno of the third world. seeking her help. The sorrow and memory she acquired from Yuno of the first world was so immense that she want to do something about it. And hence, the same girl they wanted dead in the first place came, found her, believed her and helped her.
Yuno of the third world took the memory of Yuno of the first. The anime ended with Yukitero Amano of the second world hearing noises from his future diary stating that Yuno came to see him. Yukitero Amano and Murmur of the second world was surprised and was more shocked when Yuno Gasai of the third world along with all the memories of the Yuno of the first came see Yukitero Amano of the second.
Yuno went and gave Yuki a hug. Yuki smiled. Yuno gleefully talks, reminding of their promise to each other. To see the stars.
