Quick Comparison: Hidan no Aria (anime) and Taboo Tattoo (anime)

I just finished watching both the season one and season 2 of Hidan no Aria, and I'd say the series has the same concept with Taboo Tattoo. Only thing is that Hidan no Aria follows things more logically and a bit to the point. Except for the bullets only hitting the armored part of their bodies.

But aside that, Hidan no Aria is set in a world where combat training and such are thought in school. Students studying in such school are allowed to carry fire arms as well as carry out arrests when need be. Other than that, I guess I'm just more interested on the guns, plus the fighting techniques showed.

The ending of Hidan no Aria, much like Taboo Tattoo, has this giant monster or robot as well, but not so much as a global threat. Basically follows law of reason, and such incidents happening also gets treated logically. That is looking at it in the point of view of a contemporary civilian.

As for Taboo Tattoo, shits just suddenly went from small scale to global god shits. Megazords appearing and fighting. It felt like mashed and rushed for it to end.

As for the love story, I guess both didn't emphasize well. Taboo Tattoo's romance suck. Hidan no Aria's season one, got me hook for the shipping of the two main characters. But on season two, it got cock blocked or something like that. Or maybe perhaps there was actually no romance between the two MC in Hidan no Aria as much as I would want it to happen.

Another funny thing and quite new to me, despite having her name in the title Kanzaki Aria of Hidan no Aria, it seems both season one and season two, she doesn't have the part of the main role. Season one has Kinji Toyama while season two has Akari Mamiya, both having hidden talents at the start of their own season, as for Aria, she's like a support character. The main characters revolves around her while we audience sees Aria's character revolve around them.

Like Legend of Zelda, perhaps?
