"Here you are, little firefly," a familiar voice spoke. "Have you forgotten already? Is this the reason why you suddenly stop making memories? Isn't this what you wanted, really? And at an impasse, you want to move on, make more memories... the dilemma is that you'll soon forget."
The Firefly King took off masked and gave teary eyed look. He's not sad yet at the same in sorrow. He should be remembering things, many things. Great memories, names, events. Distant lands, worlds. Far off dreams.. Promises.. But he cannot remember.
"You once feared of a void boring deeper in your heart. You even told me it has no cure to fill it up. So this is what you mean, my little firefly? So, you're just going to up and leave. Halt this silly little adventures of your and stand in this silly little corner. Yet, I have this feeling you aren't giving up yet. Is it not true, you are trying to recall certain memories long past their dues?"
The Firefly King sighed heavily as if to trying to get some burden off his chest. He can't remember. But she's right. This is what he wanted to happen. But this is also what he fears.
"Maybe, the sea is too much for you, my little firefly. Why don't you go back the woods? The trees there will certainly guide you. The leaves there will let you write all your worries. You don't have to remember anything. They'll remember it all for you. Why not go back?"
The Firefly King gave a smile and once more wore his mask.
"How could I call my self king, if I can't go forward?" the Firefly King said. "Beside, I don't know how to get back. I'm lost. I can't remember."
