Poetry #84

I went back,
Thinking there were
anyone familiar would
welcome me home.

But there was
no one there.
The world I
knew then is
no longer there.

I saw the
minute semblance and
the drastic changes.

I'm happy things
went for the
better but here

It's no longer
the place I
thought once knew.

The place we
we used to
call our own
have now vanished.

There was no
one there to
welcome me home.

For the first
time coming back
I felt alone.
