Poetry #72: Heroes

But then
again, there
be heroes.

The ones
who will
gladly die
for someone.

The one
who will
through all
the hardship
and pain
will see
to it
they smile.
Even at
the last
hour of
their lives.

They will
smile and
sometimes turn
their back
just to
say a
prayer and
maybe cry.

They may
sometimes look
foolish and
sometimes childish,
but it
is their
resolve, no
matter painful
and hard,
is what
makes them
all heroes.
