I like the movie, that incest though was a bit too much. I'd rather have the romance between Yuno Gasai and the Bunny Girl. But that won't be the point of this post.
The idea of having power born out of people's wishes is just something amazing, to be precise, AWESOME. Think about it, hey I'm hungry, I wish I have food. *boom* power to be fed. People who don't want to suffer *boom* petrification. Hey, I want to have more time. *boom* power to stop time. Or something like that.
It's an amazing concept, really. But isn't that what desiring power all about? Borne of out dream. Unfortunately, as the series progressed, the power or rather ORDER the people shown have actually not been borne out of power. Some out of fear. Some out of regret. Some out of hatred. They weren't out of dream, but simple desire to fill something they lack.
One of them, the guy with the ability to stop time of three people, is quite amazing. He could stop the time, physically, to people or things he selected, including aging. It was then revealed that he acquired his power when he didn't have much time to save his family. And so his desire of having more time gave him a bit of control over time.
And so, it's later on revealed that the ORDERs, the powers in the anime, are borne from the desires of people. A strong mental desire to attain something. One could say it's dreams but should it be something else if it came out of fear, regret and desire. But I supposed, we could call it that.
The one idea that I like most about the series was the multiple universe concept. That worlds or rather universes are continually being born because of people's desire. That each mind is a separate universe of its own. And each dreams one desires is a separate universe. In case two conflicting dreams were to exists, it would be separated making it so that the two dreams were to exists.
If one person dreams of a rainy day and another sunny. It will give way to making two new universes where in both of their dreams are real. That's how new universes are made of.
But if we think about it, we were to lose our sense of reality. Of which the Sena, the sister of Eiji, gave up and betrayed Eiji. Her sense of reality got jaded that she was willing to kill Eiji in order for an Eiji of a different reality to be happy. All the while, Eiji couldn't accept it.
If you think about it logically, in real world sense, Eiji was sane while his sister wasn't.
Eiji does not want or care about the Sena of the different realities. The real Sena was the one he's trying to save. The one he love most. His care for her would even go beyond to denying her dreams. Even if her dreams was for Eiji's sake. He didn't want anything else but Sena, his sister in the reality they live in.

That incest part though.. Poor Yuno Gasai... Poor Bunny Girl..
Also before I started the series, damn the uncanny resemblance of Kurenai Rin to Yuno Gasai of Future Diary made me search it on the net. Same authors for the two animes, Big Order and Future Diary.
To be fair, the semblance between the two is very clear. Concept/Idea wise. Multiple World thingy. Yandere. What more? Even Gannai Hoshimiya reminds me of Fourth.
All in all, this is a beautifully and masterfully made anime.
