Poetry #41 (Tragedy of Orpheus)

"There will
come a
time when
you cannot
save me.
Will you
accept that?"
Eurydice asked.

Orpheus continued
on with
his song.
It was
both beautiful
and melancholic.

"There will
come a
time when
I will
Eventually die.
Can you
accept that?"
Eurydice once
more asked.

Orpheus continued
on with
his beautiful
sad song.
He was
At that
Time terrified.

"When that
happens, dear,
Will you
Sing me
your greatest
song, one
that will
touch both
not only
By ears
of men
But by
gods and
beautiful goddesses?"

Orpheus then
stopped with
his song
And looked
Her in
the eye.

"I will
save you,"
Orpheus said.

"If you
can't, you
will die
of grief,
my love."

"Be it
So," Orpheus
bravely said.

"I can't
have that,"
Eurydice replied.
"I want
you to
be happy."

"With you
Anywhere I
go I
am happy,"
Orpheus said.

"With you
I am
also happy,"
Eurydice said.
"But without
me, please
move on."

"I can't,"
Orpheus said.
"I can't
have that.
I can't."

He broke
to tears.

"Please, love,
This is
not the
right choice.
Set yourself
free. Free
from me."

She broke
to tears.
And tries
To let
go of
her hands.

"Please, Orpheus,"
Eurydice asked.

He held
her hands
even tighter.

"I don't
Want that,"
Orpheus said.
"I don't
want to
lose you
once again."

"You're losing
yourself, Orpheus.
It's because
of me.
So, please,
Let go."

"No," Orpheus
stubbornly replied.

"Please, Orpheus,"
Eutydice went
to him
and gave
him her
dearest hug.
"Open your
Eyes, Orpheus."

"I won't."

"Orpheus, please."

"I don't
want to
lose you."

"Just now.
Let me
save you."

"Please! Don't"

She gave
Him a
passionate kiss.

To his
Surprised, Orpheus
Opened his
tired eyes.

Eurydice was
not there.

I think this could have been better if written in paragraphs instead of lines and silly verses. But who cares.
