Poetry #146

Even so
I cannot
fly to
your arms.

You who
have went
to greater
heights and
higher sky.

You who
have basked
most in
the warmth
of the
gentle sun.

You who
have told
whispers and
adventures to
the sky
children and
mother moon.

You who
have seen
the world
beneath your
beautiful wings.

To your
arms I
cannot come.

With wings
like mine,
to be
by your
side is
nothing more
but a
fleeting dream.
