A Firefly's Monologue #27

"But he still made hero works, right?"

"He continue to be a hero, despite all this."

"He gets hurt too, right?"

"He isn't invincible, and the worse still the pain he'd feel when he sees or hears the onlookers. The ones he is trying to save."

"Does he not regret it? Is he not mistaken?"

"Does heroism demand it answered?"

"To himself it does."

"Heroism, in essense, is a thankless job. You get to see people happy, thankful they are saved. And comes next back to their old lives. Nothing happens."

"Being a hero then is not worth it?"

"Should it have any worth?"

"Why else would heroes want to be hero if they cannot improve the lives of people?"

"Their own government are tasked to do that. Heck, themselves should do that. Heroes aren't and must not be bothered by this."

"Heroes save lives, right?"

"Yes they do."

"Is it not part of it at the core of it all they inspire people to be better? Should they not inspire people?"

"What would the hero do then?"

"Make a better world. Am I not right?"

"Heroes by that definition should all definitely take up governance if that's the reason."

"Shouldn't he somehow make a big impact? If not, then what else should heroes do?"

"To be themselves. A hero cannot always be a hero. He cannot save everyone."

"Is it not too selfish? Won't it all just a big waste?"

"To save one self, it isn't. It never will."
